Spicy Rice Bowl

A simple rice bowl that comes together fairly fast. With the help of cornstarch you thicken the liquid sauce. This spicy sauce seeps into the tofu and the rice. A dish we can for sure call quick comfort food.

Frühlingszwiebeln

2 EL
2 TL
1 TL
2 Zehen

Gemüsebrühe
Sojasauce
Chili flakes
Corn starch
Knoblauch

Vorbereitung

  1. Knoblauch fein hacken
  2. Cut tofu into 1 cm cubes
  3. Chop carrots and mushrooms fine into small cubes, almost like a crumble
  4. Frühlingszwiebeln in Ringe schneiden

Kochen

Gemüsebrühe zubereiten

Reis kochen

Sauté garlic and chili flakes

auf mittlerer/hoher Hitze ~2 Min

Add mushrooms and carrots

~3 Min

Add tofu, soy sauce and bouillon

add lid, stir occasionally ~5 min

Mix cornstarch with 2 TBL sp of cold water, add this slurry

stir and let the sauce thicken a little ~3 min

Serve the rice with the tofu vegetable mix and spring onions on top.
